A taste of Icelandic Food at W6! Two of our sixth form students, Vitaliy and Filip, are taking over the canteen on Tuesday 24th April at lunch time, giving students and teachers at the academy an insight into Icelandic food. On the day Vitaliy and Filip will be serving Pylsur and Kleinur, Iceland's famous hot dog with all the trimmings, and a yummy dessert afterwards. Students are able to purchase this unique meal with their usual student cards operated by Wisepay, and take part in the academy's celebration of Icelandic cuisine! We wish Icelandic W6 and SRWA Bears students, Vitaliy and Filip, the very best of luck for feeding the hungry mouths of our students (and teachers)! Get yourself along to the canteen at lunchtime on Tuesday!

As part of the Realising Opportunities (RO) programme, a selection of our Year 12 students will be attending the National Student Conference 2018, held at the University of Exeter. Mrs Morley and the Year 12 students will be leaving the academy before Friday lunchtime, and staying overnight at a Hilton hotel in Bristol - with an evening quiz and dinner organised! After breakfast in the hotel, on Saturday we will make the journey to the University of Exeter for the conference. We will arrive back at the academy late Saturday evening by coach, where students will be dismissed. We look forward to visiting Exeter, and proceeding further in the Realising Opportunities programme. Track our live updates via Facebook here!
