Realising Opportunities Update - As part of our Realising Opportunities scheme, organised by our host university, the University of Sussex, our students have already been exposed to a wide range of advice and support for getting prepared for university life. All students should be in contact with their e-mentor via the Brightside website, and should have already completed the 'Skills 4 Uni' module via the RO student portal. The Academic Assignment - Save the dates! Day 1 – Tuesday 19 June 2018 Day 2 – Wednesday 27 June 2018 Day 3 – Monday 09 July 2018 On each of the three days, students will depart the academy by coach at 9:30am, complete their day at the University of Sussex, Falmer Campus, and arrive back at the academy at 3pm. There is no cost to students attending

Interested in exploring STEM subjects at sixth form and W6? Thinking about Sixth Form choices and STEM? Are you in year 10 and beginning to think about your choice of sixth form and the subjects you'll study once you've finished your GCSEs? Maybe you aren't even sure what you want to do, but are keen to find out about different courses and careers. The world renowned engineering firm Ricardo and W6 Sixth Form at The Sir Robert Woodard Academy are hosting an evening about careers and further study in STEM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) for students in year 10 and their parents.
